I generally like luxo-barges and diesel trucks, especially 7.3L OBS powerstrokes. The E38 7 series is one of the BEST looking sedans of all time and I always loved S classes... I'd rock an S class any gen (though I would prefer a 70-73 280SEL, or an 86-91 560SEL, or a W140 95-99 S500, or a 2007-2013 S550). The Silver Shadow is a breathtaking car and it's relatively affordable for a Rolls Royce. The 911 has always been my favorite sports car and I don't see that changing. Volvo 240s have their own little retro cool box factor.

How about you? What do you prefer?

Hmm
Let's see..

I always like a big cars. Bentley, Rolls royce, S-Class, Jaguar XJ, BMW 7-Series, Audi avants, etc.

Then comes kei cars, like Honda beat or suzuki cappucino.

Then comes Volvo, because Volvo!
Especially the 240GLT.

Then comes The old italian cars, like countach, testarossa, etc. Except the 458,.it's just beautiful.

Then there's Evo. Because Gran turismo.

I also like a car that I rarely seen, like Miata and NSX.

And I think I love trucks and buses as well. But I don't like SUV, except hilux and Pajero.

I think that's it.

For the most part it's European sports cars from the mid-60s to the late 80s, usually Brits and Italians.

Saying that, I am very partial to a good looking fast 4-door, again usually classic.

I like a lot of American and Italian cars, high performance mostly. I like British cars in general, some few German cars, the old guard of Japanese performance cars and many Australian cars too.
I'd say my taste is turned towards larger-than-common engines, rear wheel drive, sharp body lines, and a strong character (which may be introvert and classy as well as extrovert and aggressive). I'd have a Daimler Double Six as a DD and a C3 Corvette as a weekend driver.

I could find something to love about any car/truck. Except K-cars. They can all burn in car hell, and I'm always baffled that so many are still running.

I'm definitely a fan of huge luxo-barges too. 18-year olds should have the dream of one day owning a WRX STI or a Evolution or now a BRZ as their first car and for my first car, nothing would make me happier than my dad's Lexus LS460. (Fear my 65-year-old taste in cars.)

My friends and I in high school were going to try and restore a car to Concours Level because that just seemed fun. Collecting a list of cars we all wanted to do, the top ones were the Silver Shadow, Citroen DS and the 300SEL 6.3. (Best frands evur.)

I too LOVE that era of 7-series more than any other 7-series. My perfect one would be silver with the M-wheels.

And my parents made a deal with me saying if I graduate from college and make it to a graduate school, they'd get me any car I'd want as long as it's reasonable. So in four years, I'm aiming to own a 4-year-old-then LX570, since nothing is more badass than driving to an oil field (Petroleum Engineering Major) in an LX imo.

Oh and Vanquish and F40 because racecar.

Mine are all over the place:

- big, comfy old-man cars (Lincoln Town Car, Cadillacs, large Buicks)

- 4x4 trucks and Jeeps

- stripped down, super basic small cars (preferably manual transmission)

- pony cars (mostly the Challenger but also the Mustang)

- anything made by AMC

- 70's & early 80's Japanese cars

- new luxo-barges (S-class, 7-series, A/S 8, Bentley Flying Spur)

Quite diverse really, I'd say it consists of:

Post war French luxobarges, coupes, hot hatches and some family sedans/hatches. Citroën, Peugeot and some of the long defunct brands like the Facel Vega. With a few exceptions I do have a general dislike of Renault.

Italian sporty coupes and sedans, preferably not made by Ferrari and Lamborghini. Post was as well.

BMWs from the mids 60s until the early 90s, with some hesitation including the E38, E39 and E46.

VWs and Audis from the late 70s until the early 90s. Maybe including some 60s Beetle derivatives that weren't Beetles themselves.

Mercedes, some models until the early 90s.

Some of the British classics. Old Jags primarily.

Volvo 780. I like some of the older square ones as well, although I'm not too keen on the 240.

The occasional Japanese car. This is something I find hard to define, as I dislike the vast majority. The 1980s MR2, Supra and Prelude are cars I do like for example, I even like the 80s Accord Aerodeck.

Honestly? My tastes tend to go on the side of large trucks and SUVs, followed by American luxo-barges, BUT I tend to love anything with an engine. For instance, I have a Geo Metro and I love the little thing, despite it being pretty much the exact opposite of what I just said I liked.

I find all cars interesting, and truly it takes a lot for me not to consider one a viable, if unnecessary, purchase in the near future.

I like just about anything. The only things I don't care for is when the functionality safety or reversibility are questioned. I think modifications are like a woman applying makeup. Add a little makeup and a good looking woman looks great. Add too much and she looks like a prostitute. That is why I love Restomoding because what made the car awesome is still maintained. What kills me is when people take a perfectly good example and chop it to hell. Tuning is cool, but ricers suck. Lowriders are cool, but bouncing hydraulics ruins the car. There is a certain curve that can make something awesome before becoming terrible.

Things I like: muscle cars, antique cars, hot rods, boulevard cruisers, land yachts, weird French cars, British, German, Italian, Swedish. Japanese.

Things I don't like:

Super lifted trucks, a small lift kit and tire is fine but 12"lift with 36" tires is now putting everyone around at risk. When your tire match my roofline, now we have a problem. http://www.truckinweb.com/tech/0912tr_20…

Stupid loud exhaust.

Stance

A lot of newer Sport/luxury cars. Mainly because people buy them to show off how much money and (lack of) penis size they have.

Pretty much everything. I can think of specific cars that don't really do anything for me but I could never rule out an entire class of cars.

It probably helps that my favorite car tends to fall into a grey area between muscle car and sports car...

I agree with a lot of those. There hasn't been a Ferrari I'm interested in since the 360...

The only Corvettes I like are the first stingrays. For Mustang, it is the first gen and current gen only.

Most new supercars and sports cars I don't like. Actually, I don't like most new cars in general.
